Conan’s encounters with Set are not just limited to the god himself, but also to the god’s followers, the pre-human Serpent People of Valusia , archenemies of King Kull the Conqueror, and their diminutive descendants, the Worms of the Earth encountered by Pictish King Bran Man Morn in Roman Britain. Rooted in the Nagas of Indian mythology, Howard gave these characters his own particular twist. I will give my own take on these mercurial and insidious beings in my new story under development, Pádraig and the Serpent People, set in ancient Ireland. Updates will be posted on this site.
